Public Input

 

Whatcom County would like to encourage the public to participate in this planning effort.  Participate in the effort by visiting the website, attending public meetings and providing input about public water quality concerns within the basin. 

 

This webpage will be updated throughout the planning process.  Visit this site to view feedback to issues raised during public meetings and contact the Whatcom County Stormwater Division to voice your concerns.

 

Public Input Needed Regarding:

  1. Individual concerns regarding lake water quality and possible solutions.
  2. Locations which have historically had issues regarding sedimentation and erosion control.
  3. Public concerns regarding fish and wildlife habitat.
  4. Public concerns regarding recreational activities in and around the lake and their affect on lake water quality.
  5. Public concerns regarding development around the lake as in relates to stormwater.
  6. Public interest in participating in volunteer projects within the watershed.
  7. Public opinions regarding funding options for the management plan.
  8. Any additional concerns and issues related to stormwater management in the basin.
